With about 1.400 employees, a history of over hundred years en companies in three continents the (Royal) Koninklijke Houthandel G. Wijma & Zonen BV is rooted well in the international timber world.

Timber itself is from 1897 onwards our never ending source of inspiration and motivation. Timber lives, grows and regenerates itself. And the same applies for us!

Sustainable produced products

Starting as a small business working locally to being an international operating company with forest concessions and sawmills in Africa. With production units in the Netherlands and Brazil, companies in Western Europe and sales throughout the whole world. Working in a natural forest also means recognising the responsibilities towards natural habitats and their people.

Our tropical timber species are sincerely sustainable produced products supplied to end users who really do care about receiving timber building materials from responsible production methods as well as proven legality and sustainability at source. Our wood is sustainable and every day our entire organisation proofs to be responsible producers as well.
